Key quotes:
Harnois Énergies announced on Tuesday the successful completion of a one-month test of a hydrogen fuel cell truck from the Arizona-based manufacturer Nikola. During the test, the truck was fueled with hydrogen from a multi-energy station in Quebec City owned by Harnois Énergies.
“This trial period has been an all-round success, enabling us to learn more about the possibilities and limitations of this new technology,” the firm added.
Last week, Nikola Corporation secured Talon Logistics as a new client. According to a social media post from Thursday, Talon Logistics received its first Nikola trucks. However, the official announcement regarding the size of the order has not yet been made.
Earlier in the week, as the company continues expanding its refueling network, the CEO announced Nikola’s station located in Ontario (California) achieved a record day by refueling 28 trucks and dispensing over 850 kg of hydrogen.
Walmart Canada has recently integrated the first Nikola hydrogen fuel cell electric semi-truck into its fleet, marking it as the first retail fleet in North America to operate such a vehicle.
In addition, AiLO Logistics, a major drayage carrier operating in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, has placed an order for 100 Nikola hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks, set for delivery in 2025. This follows a previous order of 50 trucks in 2023, underscoring AiLO’s commitment to sustainable transportation solutions.
Nikola’s CEO Steve Girsky announced on July 2nd that 4GEN Logistics and IMC Companies have also purchased vehicles through Nikola’s dealer network, further solidifying Nikola’s presence in the logistics sector.
Earlier this month, the e-commerce giant Wayfair announced it was testing electric trucks from Nikola in California as it evaluates the transition from diesel to electric trucks.

Steve - Andy tricked a lot of people with his Pump & Dump tactics.
Everyone should have known this Secondary was coming. All of the signals were there.
As for the next Quarterly Report, fasten your seatbelts. There is a reason PLUG dumped nearly 80 Million shares this week instead of after the "good" news.
Plug's earnings are always a mixed bag, some good numbers and some bad numbers. But the bad numbers are usually REALLY BAD, and more than cancel out any good . We have all seen this repeatedly quarter after quarter / year after year. And this Q will be more of the same.
A big improvement in cost cutting and margins would be great, but C'mon, This is PLUG we are talking about, and PLUG never does anything well ... except to disappoint shareholders.

Yep, it looked that way, but then Andy, as usual, was a buzz kill and pulled that garbage. The shorts never had a better friend than Andy for sure. Waiting to see if the bottom line shows any marked improvement at all and that trend starts looking better at least. If so, it should help the stock. Hard to believe that everything is taking years longer than expected. I have a feeling Andy knew but sold everyone on things turning faster. Really, hard to believe anything until you see it with Andy.

Every PLUG Rally Fades Within Days !
In order to reverse such a strong Negative Trend it is going to take some doing .... Like Andy getting the BOOT.
So long as Andy, Paul and Co are around, I don't think the trend will bend.
The Loan alone (pun intended), is not enough to reverse the trend, after all, it is just MORE DEBT, and not something to be celebrating, but it will create a temporary bump in the share price.
Nor is the 45v enough, especially if the rules stay close to the original terms.
Everyone is Double Counting 45v. $3.00 for PLUG. $3.00 for the customers.
The 45v only benefits a small portion of PLUG's revenues and it might not even move the needle in the final analysis.
Hydrogen revenues are just a small part of PLUG's portfolio. Adding $3.00 in tax credits on Green hydrogen production can't fix PLUG's bottom line.
Especially if Walmart and Amazon want the credits. ... After all, companies that actually make money have a better use for Tax Credits than companies that lose money .... Like PLUG.
The Cheerleaders here are putting way too much weight in the 45v impact.
Sorry guys. As long as the current management is in place, Wall Street has little confidence that these stooges can turn the boat.
HOWEVER, if the Board can bring in an All-Star from outside to fix things (Think a Bob Lutz) , only then will we see PLUG turn positive.

NASEO issues new resources to advise state energy offices on clean hydrogen
Published on July 25, 2024 by Dave Kovaleski
The National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) released two new publications on clean hydrogen for State and Territory Energy Offices.
These resources are part of a toolkit developed with input from the NASEO Clean Hydrogen State Working Group, with support from Breakthrough Energy.
The first publication is called the Clean Hydrogen Production Tax Credit: Overview and Implications. It provides State and Territory Energy Offices with a high-level overview of the proposed guidance for the clean hydrogen production tax credit (45V); implications for states and the private sector; and opportunities for state-level incentives that compliment or expand on the federal tax credit.
An understanding of the 45V tax credit and the different requirements it entails are important to support and move clean hydrogen policies, programs, projects, and planning efforts forward.
The second publication is called Engaging Stakeholders on Clean Hydrogen Efforts. It aims to guide State Energy Offices in planning for, implementing, and evaluating stakeholder engagement efforts surrounding clean hydrogen activities. It will do this by providing a framework, examples of successful strategies, and additional models and best practices to consult.
The tool intends to support states engaging stakeholders on a broad spectrum of clean hydrogen activities, including hydrogen roadmaps, policy and program development, and implementation of the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs.

To watch the decline to $2.50 and being told that everything is great, defies logic.
" The one next deal will fix everything ..."
DOE Loan, 45v, Data Centers, Europe, Australia .....
How about, none of the above.?
Hydrogen growth is too slow and PLUG is over built.
Kudos to those in the hydrogen sector who are patient and disciplined and are waiting on rules, and demand to support their investments.

Investor Interest in Small-Cap Stocks Keeps on Surging
Russell 2000 Has Outpaced S&P 500 This Month
By DAVID MARINO-NACHISON July 23, 2024
…
"Now, the Russell’s longer-run underperformance versus the S&P 500 has started to reverse, and small investors are taking notice," DataTrek wrote. "Attention drives capital flows. When that focus and money goes into a single stock, it is fair to call it a 'meme' investment."
…
DataTrek believes small caps can continue to perform. "When that interest and capital flows to an entire segment of the market, we have trouble dismissing it outright as a fad," its note read. "No doubt U.S. small caps will be volatile over the next few months, but we still believe they can do well" over the balance of the third quarter.
