Lantronix, Inc. (NASDAQ: LTRXD), a leading provider of secure, remote device networking and data center management technologies, closed its first fiscal quarter of 2010 with five consecutive quarters of non-GAAP profitability. (Financial results for the December ended quarter will be reported the first week of February.) The company continues to advance its market position and drive innovation with five new product additions to the company's flagship product families: DeviceLinx(TM), ManageLinx(TM) and SecureLinx(TM). Providing a way for customers to remotely access virtually any device via the Internet, Lantronix also added new customers in the security, industrial and medical markets.

"Lantronix is pleased to begin 2010 with healthy financials, a solid product portfolio and pipeline, and a successful reverse stock split under our belts," said Jerry Chase, chief executive officer at Lantronix. "With a strong management team in place, new products coming on-line and an expanding customer list, we intend to build on this momentum in 2010."

In 2009, Lantronix shipped its 2 millionth XPort® module. The company enhanced this product with the release of XPort® Pro(TM), an embedded Ethernet networking module with new support for Linux family. XPort Pro has received record-breaking interest by customers looking to leverage its powerful engine for deploying advanced applications at the network edge, such as intelligent power inverters used in converting solar energy to electricity. The DeviceLinx family also welcomed MatchPort® b/g Pro and MatchPort® AR with Linux. Offering enhanced embedded wireless networking features, MatchPort b/g Pro leverages Lantronix' SmartRoam(TM) technology, which enables intelligent switching between wireless access points to ensure uninterrupted connectivity. The company also launched SpiderDuo® and ManageLinx 2.0, new solutions in the SecureLinx and ManageLinx family.

Further enhancing its product suite, Lantronix added ManageLinx' Virtual IP (VIP) Access(TM) technology as a feature available on each of its newly released products. Using the company's patent-pending Virtual Device Network (VDN) technology, ManageLinx enables users to create secure VIP connections between any two points via the Internet without compromising integrity, changing the network configuration or the application software.

"Lantronix' VIP technology ensures secure remote access to network-connected devices, even behind a firewall," said Daryl Miller, vice president of engineering at Lantronix. "Our expanding product suite makes it easier than ever for companies in the security, industrial and healthcare markets to adopt secure remote access to network-connected devices, even behind a firewall."

Attracting interest in the security and industrial markets, Lantronix announced relationships with Secura Key, Spectrum CNC, Information Controls and Mitsubishi Electric in 2009. The company also experienced increased demand from the healthcare industry, partnering with LeHigh Valley Health Network. More hospitals look to transition to electronic health records and gain greater access to real-time patient information. LeHigh Valley's partnership with Lantronix will enable the health group to securely network-connect medical equipment.

To support its expanding customer base in its key markets, Lantronix added to its executive team by appointing Jeff Kost as SVP of worldwide sales, and Paul Pishal as VP of marketing. These appointments will intensify the company's focus on business development to drive customer growth.

"Building on our success in 2009, Lantronix plans to further growth in its key markets with additional products and an experienced team focused on continuing the company's innovation. 2010 will be an exciting year for us as we continue to expand our key verticals and add to our worldwide customer base," said Chase.
