Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: HCBK) (the "Company") announced today that
the Hermance Family Foundation (the "Foundation") purchased 10,000
shares of Hudson City Bancorp, Inc. common stock in an open-market
transaction. The Hermance Family Foundation was established
by Ronald E. Hermance, Jr., the
Company's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer with a
contribution of 150,000 shares of the Company's common stock and
currently owns 160,000 shares. The shares owned by the
Foundation are not included in Mr. Hermance's beneficial ownership
of 7,681,240 shares as reported in the Company's proxy statement
dated March 18, 2010.
