Cintas Hosts Shredding Event at the Cucamonga Valley Water District’s Annual Water Awareness and Earth Day Celebration

Cintas Corporation, the leader in secure document management services, is hosting a free community shred event on Saturday, April 10, at the Cucamonga Valley Water District, located at 10435 Ashford Street in Rancho Cucamonga. The event will take place during San Bernardino County’s Annual Water Awareness and Earth Day celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is designed to provide community members with a safe and secure resource to shred their confidential personal and business documents.

“Identity theft is a growing threat for individuals and businesses across the nation,” explained Karen Carnahan, president and COO of Cintas document management division. “This event will bring awareness of proper document management to the community and provide them with a secure method to safely dispose information. More importantly, it will provide individuals with the peace of mind that their sensitive information will not end up in the wrong hands.”

During the event, community members may bring up to five boxes of documents to have them shredded on a secure Cintas truck by a NAID certified employee. From drop-off to destruction, all documents will be constantly monitored and protected. All shredded materials will then be recycled into secondary paper products to reduce waste and impact on the environment. Recycling paper saves water, reduces green house gas emissions and uses 25 percent less energy than manufacturing paper from trees.
