PC Magazine Chooses ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite 6.0 For Its
Robust and Integrated Approach In Protecting Consumer's Entire PC
From Hackers, Spyware, and Other Internet Threats Zone Labs(R), a
Check Point Software Technologies(R) company (Nasdaq:CHKP), today
announced that ZoneAlarm(R) Internet Security Suite 6.0 has been
awarded the prestigious PC Magazine Best of the Year 2005 Award in
the security suite category. The ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite
was given four and one half out of five stars -- the highest rating
in this category -- for its flexible program control, new
OSFirewall, excellent spyware blocking and effective antispam and
antivirus technology. PC Magazine editors focused on ZoneAlarm's
new anti-spyware technology, Malicious Program Kill Control and
Triple Defense Firewall Protection. Editors praised the solution's
ability to: -- Block hackers from gaining access to a computer --
Automatically make a computer invisible to anyone on the Internet
-- Prevent spyware from sending personal information across the
Internet -- Protect consumers' programs and operating systems from
malware "Just when we thought ZoneAlarm's firewall had reached its
peak, Zone Labs has found a way to make it even better, increasing
its power against spyware and leak-test malware techniques," said
Neil J. Rubenking, lead analyst at PC Magazine. "The combination of
kernel-level firewall techniques and signature-based spyware
recognition already offers unusually powerful spyware blocking and
decent removal." Editors found the suite's integrated anti-spyware
and anti-virus technology to be top notch, due to its ability to
automatically remove the most dangerous and debilitating spyware
and viruses from a computer. In addition, the vanguard OSFirewall,
which uses behavior-based analysis to detect and block zero-hour
viruses and spyware, protect a computer against emerging threats
proved to be invaluable in defending consumers against the unknown.
"This award, especially from a noteworthy publication like PC
Magazine, is a testament to all of our employees who work
tirelessly to innovate new technologies in order to protect our
customers in this current threat environment," said Laura Yecies,
general manager of Zone Labs and vice president at Check Point. "We
are seeing an increase in the amount of attacks, and a new level of
sophistication in the types of attacks that consumers are facing.
Over 80 percent of the public does not trust their experience
online due to existing and potential threats. Our goal is to make
sure that consumers are fully protected around the clock by
developing powerful solutions and providing a safe Internet
experience." To read the full review, please visit
