Kitty Hawk, Inc. (AMEX:KHK) announced today that it has hired Donald A. Premel as managing director of business development, a newly-created position, and Randy P. Smith as managing director of team resources. Smith replaces Kim Wiemuth, who recently accepted a position as president of a hospitality company. "Don and Randy possess the right combination of strategic thinking, senior-level leadership experience and industry savvy we need to take Kitty Hawk to the next level," said Robert W. He was responsible for developing numerous innovative cargo strategies as well as directing sales and service personnel in 17 countries throughout North and South America. Prior to that, Premel served as a director for Continental's express products where he developed and managed Continental's Global Alliance Partnership Program with a variety of freight forwarders and logistic companies. Smith previously served for eight years in several roles at CompUSA, most recently as vice president of human resources. Smith oversaw strategic planning, change management, executive and organizational development, training, internal communications, regulatory compliance, diversity and mergers and acquisitions.
