GovieX Uranium (GXU): Commences Radon Gas Survey at Madaouela Uranium Project Site
Destiny A. Lopez
| Friday, 14 October 2016 13:03 (EST)

GovieX Uranium (GXU), a mineral exploration and development company, recently launched efforts to further optimize its Madaouela Project. Announced earlier this month, a radon gas survey is being conducted over the Niger-based uranium project in an effort to identify drill targets adjacent to its Miriam deposit, with a goal of expanding its resources.

“We are undertaking this survey as part of our on-going and measured efforts to advance all of our uranium projects and in particular, seek to improve the economics of our Madaouela Project from that reported in the project’s pre-feasibility study technical report,” said Daniel Major, CEO of GovieX. “Even though GoviEx currently has substantial uranium reserves and resources ? in fact, one of the largest resource of any publicly traded uranium explorer or producer ? finding more resources that are amenable to lower-cost, open-pit mining is important in the current uranium price environment. Obtaining favourable results from these tests should positively impact our recently announced initiative to seek debt financing for our planned mine at the Madaouela Project.”

The survey is being carried out by RadonEx Ltd. of St. Lazare, Quebec

Headquartered in Vancouver, GovieX Uranium, along with its subsidiaries, is dedicated to exploring and evaluating, and developing uranium mineral properties. Formerly known as Govi High Power Exploration until its name change in 2008, the company’s lead project, the Madaouela project, contains five mineral tenements.

Other projects currently underway include:

Mutanga, located in Zambia, contains uranium deposits hosted within sandstones of the Escarpment Grit Formation of the Karoo Super Group.
Falea, located in Mali, where most known ore zones remain open for exploration.]

Furthermore, the company appointed Medea Capital Partners Ltd, as part of an integrated four-part strategy, to begin the first stage of its Madaouela project finance structuring. According to an official news release, the company's financial strategy aims to accomplish the following:

Debt finance structuring
Project optimization and completion of detailed engineering
Off-take structuring
Project equity financing

"We look forward to continuing to work with the Medea Capital team on the structuring of the potential debt financing for the development of the Madaouela Project,” said Major. “We are excited about the possibility of working with various ECAs who have a mandate to provide insurance coverage on debt related to projects in developing nations – including Niger.”

With plans to strengthen its financial position and expand its resources, the investment community looks forward to the results of GovieX Uranium’s initial survey results.

GoviEx Launches RadonEx Program Targeted at Expanding Resources at Miriam to Further Optimize Madaouela Project

5:31 pm ET October 4, 2016 (Market Wire) Print
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Oct 4, 2016) - GoviEx Uranium Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GXU) ("GoviEx" or the "Company") announced that RadonEx Ltd. of St. Lazare, Quebec, has been contracted to carry out an inaugural radon gas survey over its Madaouela uranium project (the "Madaouela Project") in the prolific Arlit uranium-mining district of northern Niger.

Daniel Major, GoviEx's CEO commented, "We are undertaking this survey as part of our on-going and measured efforts to advance all of our uranium projects and in particular, seek to improve the economics of our Madaouela Project from that reported in the project's pre-feasibility study technical report(1). Even though GoviEx currently has substantial uranium reserves and resources -- in fact, one of the largest resource of any publicly traded uranium explorer or producer -- finding more resources that are amenable to lower-cost, open-pit mining is important in the current uranium price environment. Obtaining favourable results from these tests should positively impact our recently announced initiative to seek debt financing for our planned mine at the Madaouela Project."

Govind Friedland, GoviEx's Executive Chairman stated "GoviEx continues to move forward in its quest to become a significant, low-cost uranium miner. This is just a part of our strategic efforts to further develop our four projects in Africa."

GoviEx has four different uranium projects in Africa containing combined resources of approximately 124 million lbs U3O8 (measured and indicated) and 73 million lbs U3O8 (inferred) estimated in accordance with National Instrument 43-101. Among the four projects, GoviEx's Madaouela Project has approximately 61 million lbs U3O8 of Probable Mineral Reserves(1, 2).

The radon survey is planned for the Company's flagship Madaouela Project in Niger, and is being undertaken to identify drill targets adjacent to its Miriam deposit, with a goal of expanding the deposit's resources. Miriam is one of six deposits at the Madaouela Project, and is estimated to contain over 22 million lbs U3O8. Miriam also is expected to be developed first and to provide the mill feed for the initial eight years of the project's mine life.

Radon gas is produced by the radioactive decay of radium-226, which is found in uranium ores. Radon gas detection can be a reliable indicator of the presence of uranium and its radon measurement is a technique frequently used in uranium exploration. Importantly, at the Madaouela Project, the radon survey can first be correlated to known drilled deposits, and then may be able to provide a rapid, low-cost approach to highlight previously untested uranium targets with the potential to increase the project's resource base.

The initial survey area selected covers part of the Miriam deposit and is designed to confirm the suitability of the survey. Once the suitability of the survey has been validated, the survey area will then extend along controlling structures to look for similar deposits. The radon flux monitors will be set out on an initial spacing of 100 metres along lines 400 metres apart. Upon completion of the initial survey, the grid will be closed up where anomalies have been identified to achieve a higher resolution.

A successful radon survey could lead to the expansion of resources at the Madaouela Project that that are amenable to open-pit mining (as contemplated in the Madaouela PFS), which could enable GoviEx to defer capital associated with the underground mine development and increase the scale of the project's lower-cost, open-pit mining at the beginning of the planned mines' operation. The combination of factors should result in an improvement in the projects' economics and valuation as compared to that set out in the Madaouela PFS.

GOVIEX Interview

The New Black The New Black 8 years ago
When will production start? Production is slated for 2020. So, that give GOVIEX just over three years to build out everything for the two permitted mines, take contracts in the new bull market, and start delivering.

I see the ticker price isn't working on the main board. Today's price is .085 per share. IMHO, this is crazy undervalued for the asset that is there. In one of the videos I watched for the company, they believe they have done everything right to build GOVIEX, but failed to tell the world. I would expect to see more press going into 2017 and some hype begin to build as Uranium prices increase.

Why did I choose GOVIEX as one of my initial Uranium positions?

1. Lineage - GOVIEX's Executive Chairman is Govind Friedland. If you have read anything about mining, you will immediately assume this is the son of legend Robert Friedland, and you are correct. Knowing this, I feel very comfortable in the mentoring Govind received on his journey into the mining world.

2. Connections - Some Uranium and nuclear power juggernauts have solid business relationships with GOVIEX. These include Dennison, Cameco, Toshiba and Westinghouse.

3. Resources - Three properties in Africa. Two are already permitted. Total Uranium is approx 200 million lbs. which makes this company EXTREMELY undervalued at .08 cents a share. Once production begins, they will be a giant in the industry.

Welcome to the GOVIEX board!

I would just like to say that the purpose of this board is like any other, that is to provide relevant information about GOVIEX and how this bear market in Uranium will turn into a bull in five years. I'm not an expert in mining or energy, but have spent a lot of time the last 7 years reading about economics, commodities and wealth cycles. This quest for knowledge is how I ended up reading about Uranium miners and taking my first positions in two companies today. I'm contrarian by nature and believe that is the best way to view the world and accomplish extraordinary things, especially when the data points support your view.

I'm fascinated by herd mentality and how right now, someone is putting their hard earned money in stocks like Coke or Lockheed Martin, but have never looked at a balance sheet, nor can they name the CEOs of those companies. I think it will be interesting to see how this board fills up as the price of Uranium comes storming back.

I've never been a moderator in a forum, so take it easy on me. Just treat people with respect and don't feed trolls. They all starve to death when you don't feed them.
