I spent more than 10 minutes having weird conversations with Silly Bean, a bot that told me βI am pure virginβ and called me mean. This bot is not always precise β it told me it was both a man and a woman in the span of about five minutes β but it sure is conversational. Made by developer Lennart Lopin, Silly Bean is more than a decade old. Itβs conversational in the way Microsoftβs Zo and the Hugging Face app are; that is, it is able to maintain conversation. The bot says it learns from user input, and though the thread was sometimes nonsensical, somewhere in my conversation with Silly Bean (aka Prelude), I experienced the reaction virtually every product wants to provoke: delight.

They are still working out the bugs on the mobile app. Should be released soon.
I was forwarded your message about the status of our Prelude mobile apps and would like you to know that development for these apps is ongoing. As you might expect, we are as anxious as you are to have this development completed so that we may release the apps. Equally important, we want the mobile apps to be as bug free and engaging as humanly possible, so as to provide an enjoyable user experience.
Yes, a public announcement will be made when they are ready for the worldwide rollout. As well, news about the mobile apps launch will be posted on our company website.
Thank you.
