14:49 ET -- Airbnb is one of the most mentioned companies in the U.S. across all news items in the last 12 hours, according to Factiva data. Shares were up 8% to $143.52 on Tuesday after the company was selected to join the S&P 500 index. S&P Dow Jones Indices said Airbnb will join the index on Sept. 18, along with Blackstone Group. Meanwhile, New York City officials previously said that they would enforce rules on short-term rentals more aggressively starting Tuesday. Airbnb has called the rules "a de facto ban on short-term rentals." Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva. (josh.beckerman@wsj.com)
