If you posted about migrant workers being sent home without pay, you'd have a story with some merit or at the least worth questioning. These stories have been prevalent with workers traveling to Saudi and finding false promises.

But your "verifiable" story of 100,000 missing and tens of thousands dead. Is verifiably false. None of the big names from the international community would touch the NEOM project if that were true. Good thing it's not.

Yeah, War Machine is probably right. The market makers who are working for the hedgies running this show are probably buying high and selling low. They need to make it look scammy, or like retail is conducting a pump and dump. Probably trying to entice any remaining holders into selling their shares for tax losses. The strategy of selling at a loss to offset capital gains is typically utilized when individuals plan to buy back the stock they sold after the gains are offset. Or when they want to exit a position and it makes sense to realize the loss to offset a gain. It doesn't make sense to offset a gain with a loss in a stock that the investor isn't interested in owning.

So the example of "buying high and selling low" to offset gains is very likely here imo. It's theoretically a possibility though.
