NIGEL COLE TO DIRECT FIRST ELOISE FILM

HandMade Plc (HMF.L), the rights ownership, film production, merchandising and
licensing company, is pleased to announce that Nigel Cole, the critically
acclaimed and commercially successful director of the $100m box office film
"Calendar Girls" and the award-winning "Saving Grace", has agreed to direct the
first feature film called "Eloise in Paris" based on the character "Eloise" and
which is taken from the popular series of children's books written by Kay
Thompson and illustrated by Hilary Knight.

Production of "Eloise in Paris", the live action theatrical feature film adapted
by Janet Brownell and Erin Joslyn, will begin in 2007 and will take place on
three locations including Paris, London and New York. The film is expected to
be released in cinemas in Spring 2008. HandMade Films International will
coordinate all worldwide sales.

The film will be produced by Patrick Meehan and Tom Adelman who produced the
first two Eloise movies for The Wonderful World of Disney starring Julie
Andrews.

HandMade acquired film, television, music and merchandising rights to all
"Eloise" titled properties in 2002 and the feature film is the first in an
exciting series of "Eloise" brand initiatives that are currently in development.
"Eloise in Paris" will be the first movie in a feature film franchise and
HandMade will be developing a full range of merchandising and licensed products
to support its global release in cinemas.

"Eloise" started her life and became a popular children's character in 1955.
Her adventures have come to life in a series of five top-selling books sold
mainly in the US.

Commenting on this announcement, HandMade plc's CEO, David Ravden, said:
""Eloise" is one of HandMade's key franchise properties. There are a number of
building blocks that form the basis of the "Eloise" brand, from the existing
Television movies and animated TV series through to the new feature film which
further enhances our merchandising exploitation opportunities."

Commenting on the project, Director Nigel Cole said: "I am very excited about
directing this feature film. Even though "Eloise" was created in the 1950's,
she is in many ways the embodiment of a modern girl - independent, resourceful,
spirited and inquisitive. It is these characteristics and attributes, coupled
with the magical quality of the "Eloise" adventures, which really drew me to the
project. I look forward to it being a huge success."
