                  European Goldfields Limited ("the Company")

                               Additional Listing

Application has today been made to the London Stock Exchange for 90,000 common
shares without par value in the Company to be admitted to trading on AIM. These
common shares are being issued following the vesting of Restricted Share Units
and the exercise of Share Options previously granted by the Company. Admission
of these common shares is expected to become effective on Tuesday 7 February
2006.
