FARMINGTON, Ark., Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Highline
Technical Innovations, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: HLNT), in a continued
effort to cultivate the Agriculture and Transportation industries
of the Northeast, recently supported SmartPower Technologies in two
agricultural exhibitions. The Empire Days Agriculture show
was held in Seneca, New York,
August 8-11 and a second show, AG
Process, was held on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania August 16-18. Approximately 100,000
visitors were exposed to the Wildcat Hydrogen Booster. In
support of the shows, HTI provided its 400 horse power Cummins
diesel demonstration trailer accompanied by HTI senior sales
representative, Mike Feemster.
HTI performed over 135 demonstrations during the two shows
with a 100% success rate showing over an 18% improvement in fuel
economy. Although significant rain inundated the first few
days of the Empire Days Agriculture show, SmartPower completed
daily installations of the Wildcat system and compiled a list of
several hundred leads over the course of the two shows.
SmartPower began introducing the Wildcat System in the areas
through popular regional publications including the Country Folks
and Lancaster Farming publications complementing HTI's advertising
with nationally known Five Star Publications that can be found
throughout the Northeast.
HTI reported that dealers such as SmartPower Technologies
locations in NJ, NY, PA and FL and HYDRO-GEN, LLC based in
Rhode Island are strategically
positioned in growth markets that HTI anticipates will have a
significant impact on revenue streams for the company. Gary
Olson, president of SmartPower Technologies said of the shows, "We
have several very large companies with significant size fleets of
trucks, cars, stationary equipment, farm tractors and OTR's. We are
confident we will achieve significant sales from the leads. We have
already secured installations for the Wildcat 9000's being
scheduled within the next 30 days. The companies range from
agriculture, to transportation, recycling and even forestry
applications. We now have completed 30 days of testing on a Morbark
7600 chipper with a 1050 HP Cummins at a prominent recycle center.
Using dual Wildcat 9000's we are proving consistent fuel savings of
over 5 gallons of diesel PER HOUR, lowering the hourly consumption
from 27.2 GPH down to as low as 18.4 GPH at times, depending on
loads. Consistent reductions are averaging over 18%, and the recent
emissions testing using an Enerac 700 have proved overall
reductions of 40-50% on 5 harmful gas emissions."
Over the preceding months, SmartPower also engaged the Penn
State Agriculture Department which boasts a state-of-the-art engine
diagnostic facility and has shown a willingness to discuss
measurement and verification testing for the Wildcat for increasing
MPG, HP and torque, and also measure the reductions in harmful
emissions. Gary Olson with SmartPower has been diligently
working with the school's Agriculture department in starting the
testing process with meetings tentatively scheduled for September
to tour the diagnostic facility.
HTI, who is recognized as a leader in hydrogen supplemental
technology is best known for its Wildcat Hydrogen Booster, a
supplemental fuel system that increases fuel efficiency in internal
combustion engines, both diesel and gas, in applications such as
cars, boats, tractor-trailer rigs and agriculture and industrial
equipment, with a strong emphasis on the Agriculture and
Transportations markets. In a recent article in Logistics
Management, it was reported that the ATA supports a recent
memorandum by President Barrack Obama increasing the fuel economy
of the American transportation industry by 2014. President
Obama stated, ""The nation that leads in the clean energy economy
will lead the global economy. I want America to be that nation."
The memorandum presents significant challenges to trucking
and transportation firms across America. "HTI sees a
significant opportunity to capitalize on this change in policy",
said CEO Charlton Coats.
