Japan's All Nippon Airways Co. (ALNPY, 9202.TO) said Thursday it had taken delivery of its third Boeing Co. (BA) 787 Dreamliner, allowing it to launch the first international services with the plane.

Boeing delivered the plane on Dec. 30, and ANA said it was due to arrive at Tokyo's Haneda airport late Thursday.

The three 787 deliveries during 2011 fell far short of Boeing's initial forecast for the plane, having originally aimed to put as many as 20 into service during last year.

ANA's first two Dreamliners have been operating domestic flights, and the delayed delivery of the third forced it to push back plans for the first international service.

The latest plane will be used on flights from Tokyo to Beijing and Frankfurt.
