Westlake Chemical Corporation is a vertically integrated manufacturer and marketer of basic chemicals, vinyls, polymers and fabricated polyvinyl chloride (PVC) building products. Its products include some of used chemicals in the world, which are used in many diverse consumer and industrial markets, including flexible and rigid packaging, automotive products, coatings, residential and commercial construction, as well as other durable and non-durable goods. The Company operates in two principal business segments: Olefins and Vinyls. The Olefins segment manufactures ethylene, polyethylene, styrene and associated co-products. The Vinyls segment manufactures PVC, vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), ethylene dichloride (EDC), chlorine, caustic soda and ethylene. As of February 17, 2011, the Company had 11.8 billion pounds per year of aggregate production capacity at 14 manufacturing sites in North America.
