just foolish traders trading anything and especially Premarket they pick stocks obvious trading groups pumping them up. SEC just turning a blind eye to it happens daily just this one makes ZERO fundamental sense ( they rarely do)

The most ridiculous thing I have seen is the last 3 days of trading on VWEWW at over 3 cents again and VWE at exact same price .0327

Vintage Wine warrants (VWEWW) , which expire in June 2026 and allow the holder to buy one share of Vintage Wine at an exercise price of $11.50.

Director Timothy Proctor recently acquired a total of 31,852 shares at an average price of $0.57 per share. Total cost around $18,155. This makes the third sizeable purchase by insiders I know of in the last few months.

Listened to the quarterly, lots of talk about being excited and great potential, but also talk of a reverse split. I don't think that would be best for the shareholders. Of course they said they'd need to get shareholder approval, but insiders hold the majority so that wouldn't be a problem. Simply put, how about they put their money where their mouth is? How about the company doing a share buyback? Or how about they simply start promoting? Hire an agency. With over 50% insider ownership and 40% institutional holdings (per yahoo finance) that means there's only around 5 million free trading shares. It wouldn't take much to get the price back up over a buck. What say you?

Interesting. Why so? They did announce not to trust previous reports and that new, accurate reports were on the way, but they also show a profit. So I'm very curious as to what indicators you've spotted (besides stock price) that support what you're suggesting. Thanks.

I agree totally with you about sentiments. And as far as extremes are concerned, a good example is what Top Financial Group LTD (TOP) did back in July. I missed that one. But I did happen to catch DWAC's open announcement of nearly 2 years ago early in the morning. IDK if this one has the makings of a meme or not, but if word starts to spread, then I imagine will see at least some price increase, especially once the new commander gets on board.
I'm wondering also if the new CEO will be able to bring over some new business or if is parting agreement with his previous company will forbid him to do so? What do you think?

Much of how the stock market functions over extended time periods depends on sentiment. There is no such thing as a risk-free investment, much less a risk-free day trade. Sentiment constantly shifts from optimism and pessimism. Both can, and usually do, go to extremes.
In the past three trading sessions the percentage of stocks trading above the very short term 5 day moving average has risen dramatically approaching 80%.
One can see this shift in the chart

In 1958 Detroit’s Big 3 produced the most over-chromed, heaviest, most garish in design kitsch wagons that even exceeded the prior year models of the 1950s. And they sold millions of them. When one compares the 1958 versions with those of the past and the ones that followed they are unique in terms of the degree of excess.

Over a 60% ($.30) gain in 3 days and volume is picking up. Maybe word is getting out? Trader's starting to take notice? And also, I think I'd be very interested in a book focused on cars from 1958. That was a good year. Why 58?

Yes, news for VWE has been positive, along with appointing Seth Kaufman as their next CEO. Mr. Kaufman has been the President & CEO, North America Moët Hennessy for the last 4 years. Hennessy's stock price (stock symbol LVMHF) nearly quadrupled in the time frame, raising from $280 to over $1000 per share and currently trading for around $960/share. He graduated University of Michigan, attended "Stephen M. Ross" school of business and has over 15k followers on his "Linked In" profile. Mr. Kaufman is expected to start October 30th.

"Net Revenues

Net revenues for the year ended June 30, 2022 increased $73.0 million, or 33.1%, to $293.8 million, from $220.7 million for the year ended June 30, 2021. The increase was driven by an increase in B2B net revenues of approximately $36.5 million, of which $7.3 million related to acquisitions, DTC net revenues of approximately $25.8 million, of which $11.0 million related to acquisitions, and Wholesale net revenues of $11.6 million, of which $13.4 million related to acquisitions, partially offset by a decrease in Other net revenues of approximately $0.9 million.

Gross Profit

Gross profit for the year ended June 30, 2022 increased $14.6 million, or 19.4%, to $90.0 million, from $75.4 million for the year ended June 30, 2021. The increase in gross profit was primarily driven by the strong DTC post-COVID-19 growth of $10.6 million. Acquisitions contributed an additional $13.1 million of gross profit. These increases were partially offset by $19.1 million of non-cash inventory write-downs identified through material weakness remediation efforts"

In a previous comment I mentioned there was and increase of total shares of around 1.6%. This might not be accurate as according to the company's prospectus there are 59,339,163 shares issued. Data from Yahoo suggested there were more. I trust the prospectus.

Looking at the chart I see a gradual increase in average daily volume over the last couple months. I can draw a straight line on the chart at support using the low on 5/12, 6/1 and today. Today's candle was an inverted hammer. You can see what that means by following the link below. With any luck we'll see a reversal for tomorrow. We could see it as high as $1.30 if it breaks through resistance at around a buck and a quarter. But lately, it seems as though there's some multi billionaire who's decided to mess with me and makes sure all my predictions don't come true. You ever get that feeling? Ok, here's the link on candlesticks:

So to recap my thoughts, I attribute the main reason for the decline of share price the last couple years to the covid outbreak, which closed hundreds of thousands of restaurants across the country. There may be other minor contributing factors, but what else could it be? With 2 insiders buying in access of 125 thousand shares recently and only about a million shares added to the float last year (just 1.6%), I think we're in a reasonably good position to see some positive gains. And it's not like the company has an inferior product or anything like that, not by a long shot. I totally enjoy a glass of high quality wine and these folks certainly carry and distribute the nicer brands.

Another insider picked up some shares a few days ago. It's always a good sign when insiders are buying for two reasons: 1, they probably think the share price will be going up, and 2, it probably won't go down much further. I have a position, average price $1.12.

I agree, but weak hands make day trading possible. For instance, nice spike today. I didn't take advantage of it, but I'm in this round at $1.10.

A stocks price doesn’t always predict a companies strength. People give their shares away instead hold 7-10 years from when you invest in a company then you will get the share price you want to sell at or just hold forever if you found a great company imo
πŸ‘οΈ0
NRS NRS 2 years ago
Ok, so I don't get it. Good news, the s/p tanks. Went below support and headed down back to a buck, perhaps even lover. There products are great, I have many in my wine fridge. So perhaps the company is diluting? Why else would the price tank, unless the average share holder is a novice and just doesn't understand value? Go figure.

My wife and I stumbled upon this brand while dining out at a nicer establishment here in Sacramento about 6 months ago. We had the "Kunda" merlot. It was excellent. I had no idea it came from a public company, which I discovered just a few days ago! This one's on my watch list for sure.
