      Penske Automotive Group, Inc. is an automotive retailer in the United States. The Company, through smart USA Distributor, LLC (smart USA), which is a wholly owned subsidiary, is a distributor of the smart fortwo vehicle in the United States and Puerto Rico. offers its customers with various vehicle warranty and extended protection products, including extended service contracts, maintenance programs, guaranteed auto protection (GAP) products. As of December 31, 2010, it operated 323 retail automotive franchises, of which 172 franchises were located in the United States and 151 franchises were located outside of the United States. During the year ended December 31, 2010, it retailed and wholesaled more than 340,000 vehicles. During 2010, it offered approximately 40 vehicle brands. Each of its dealerships offer a range of new and used vehicles for sale. In December 2010, it acquired Fred Baker Porsche and Audi franchises in Bedford, Ohio.
