DISCLOSABLE INTERESTS

Mr  Garth  Selvey, Chief Executive, notified the  Company
yesterday  in accordance with S.324 of the Companies  Act
1985,  that  on  4  January 2000 he sold  180,000  shares
representing 1.32 percent. of the issued share capital at
580p  per share.  Following this disposal Mr Garth Selvey
remains  interested in 720,000 shares  representing  5.28
percent. of the issued share capital.

The  Company  has  also been notified in accordance  with
S198  of  the Companies Act 1985, that as a result  of  a
sale of 100,000 shares, Newby Holdings Limited now has  a
beneficial interest in 665,928 shares, representing  4.88
percent. of the issued share capital of the Company.

These  two sales were part of a placing of 500,000 shares
in the Company, by Williams de Broe on behalf of a number
of   shareholders.    These  shares  have   been   placed
principally with institutional shareholders.
