Van Gold to Drill Marcella Concession

Van Gold Resources Inc. is pleased to report that the company has completed the ground based magnetic survey over the target area of the Marcella concession. The survey was mentioned in the March 10, 2010 Company News Release and targets an area of a government conducted Airborne Magnetic Survey Map that shows high magnetic readings.

The Marcella concession, 100% owned by Van Gold Resources, is located 20km northwest of the city of Navojoa in the state of Sonora, Mexico. The Marcella concession is located along major transportation routes and just 17km away from ArcelorMittal's iron ore processing plant.

As planned, the company contracted SJ Geophysics of Vancouver, BC in April 2010 to perform a ground based magnetic survey over the target area on the Marcella concession. The target area where the survey was performed measures 2.125km x 1km (7,000ft x 3,280ft).

The grid for the survey consisted of 18 lines 1km (3,280ft) long running north to south. The survey lines were spaced at 125m (410ft) apart and a ground based magnetometer reading was taken along each line every 31m (100ft). In total, 540 magnetic force measurements were taken by equipment operated by SJ Geophysics at stations located using a handheld Trimble GPS.

The readings from the ground based magnetic survey show that the magnetic field strength increases to the west of the first survey line and that the strongest magnetic field strength readings were taken between line 5 west and line 18 west. The survey remains open to the west as the magnetic strength readings at some stations were still well above the area norm on the last westerly line of the survey.

With the results of the magnetic survey, Van Gold is on track and intends to start drilling the target area in July. Drilling will be performed where the measured magnetic forces are the strongest on lines 10, 11, and 12 west.
