ADRs End Mostly Lower, Danone and Fresenius Trade Actively

International stocks trading in New York closed mostly lower
Wednesday.
The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts
fell 0.7% to 150.03. The European index dropped 0.7% to 145.88, the
Asian index declined 0.8% to 173.23, the Latin American index
increased 0.07% o 189.68, and the emerging markets index decreased
0.6% to 287.60.
ADRs of Danone SA surged 4.1% after the French company said that
its full-year sales and recurring profit grew in 2022, and that it
expects profitable growth in the current year.
ADRs of Fresenius SE & Co. declined while those of its
dialysis business Fresenius Medical Care fell 4.5% after the parent
company outlined an awaited deconsolidation plan for Fresenius
Medical Care but also posted lower-than-expected 2023 guidance.
