AuRo Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:ARU)(FRANKFURT:NXP3) reports that at the
Company's annual general meeting of shareholders held on Friday, December 9,
2011, shareholders elected Messrs. Mark Lawson, Len Davies, Mario Concha, Evilio
Juan Gomez-Garcia (John Gomez), Antonio A. L. Arias and Michael Rodger to serve
as directors for the ensuing year. Pursuant to the terms of the White Gold
transaction, which closed July 28, 2011, the Board now welcomes two new members,
namely:


Mr. Antonio Arias, CGA, who is currently President of ALA Midas Capital Inc., a
public venture capital merchant banking firm since 1999. An entrepreneurial
financial executive, Mr. Arias has over 25 years of global financial management
experience in major industries including mining, oil and gas, high tech, health
care and alternative health. As a professional manager, he has held senior
financial positions in public companies and was instrumental in raising over
$400 million in equity capital and over $300 million in debt capital. Mr. Arias
is also a Director of Genview Capital, a capital pool company that listed on the
TSX Venture Exchange last May 2011. He also served as CFO of Premier Diagnostic
Health Services Inc. from 2010 to 2011 and CFO of Mundoro Mining in 2006; prior
thereto, he was Treasurer/Corporate Controller of Sutton Resources in 1999.


Mr. Mike Rodger, who has been a partner of Dig Media Inc. and Nicola Street
Capital Inc. since September of 2008, a publishing company and investor
relations company, respectively, focused on the exploration and mining industry.
Prior thereto, Mr. Rodger was a member of the investor relations team of
Longview Capital Partners Inc., now Resinco Capital Partners, from March 2006 to
2008. Mr. Rodger was also previously a Director of White Gold Corporation.


Mr. Ken Thorsen, who has been in the mining industry for over 40 years, and who
joined the Board of Directors in October 2008, did not stand for re-election.
The Company is indebted to Mr. Thorsen for his years of service and wishes him
well in his future endeavors.
