NASHVILLE, Tenn. and OCALA, Fla., May 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Acacia Automotive, Inc. (OTC:ACCA) today announced that it has recently appointed Mr. David Bynum to its Board of Directors. Bynum has enjoyed a successful and illustrious career in the automotive and auction business. He spent the past six years with ADESA Corporation, first as General Manager of Southern States Vehicle Auction in Atlanta, then as Regional Vice President for the Southeastern USA, and finally as their National Director of Heavy Trucks and Equipment. Prior to that, he served 11 years as General Manager of Southern States Vehicle Auction under the banner of Anglo-American Auto Auctions/ADT Automotive. Mr. Bynum also owned and operated a Chevrolet dealership from 1979 to 1989 before entering the auction business. "This is a landmark day for Acacia Automotive and the auto auction industry as a whole," said Steve "Junior" Sample, the Company's CEO. "David is a great manager, a great leader, and a great person. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to serve under both David Bynum and our Company's President, Tony Moorby over the years. I could not have been blessed more than by having these two mentors and leaders in my life, and would certainly not be here today without their superb guidance and fantastic leadership." Bynum commented: "I'm very pleased to have this opportunity to serve Acacia and their investors and to once again be a part of the auction industry. I watched Tony Moorby direct the growth of ADT Automotive during my years with that company and I am pleased to be reunited with him in this exciting venture. I also look ahead to the valuable business skills and sales expertise that Junior will share as Acacia begins to grow." Tony Moorby, Acacia's President and COO, was President and CEO of ADT Automotive during Bynum's 11-year term as the GM at their Atlanta auction. He continued: "Apart from an innate understanding of the auction business on a local and national level, David has a very intuitive way with people. I look forward to enjoying and sharing David's input to the general direction of the Company and involvement in specific auction operations too. Having David so close to Augusta is a huge advantage for us. Assuming our recent LOI with Augusta Auto Auction goes to fruition in June, David will be less than two hours away from our new auction. It is our hope to grow the Company and bring David back into an operating management position of importance." Bynum lives with his family in the Atlanta area. About Acacia Automotive, Inc. Acacia Automotive (http://www.acacia.bz/) is the newest member of the auto auction industry, but comes with seasoned veterans in management. Acacia's management believes there were once three companies in balance that provided the industry's clients with a solid stance and fair choice. That balance was destroyed when one leg was eliminated with the sale and subsequent absorption of ADT Automotive in 2000. Acacia intends to bring back that balance and return a much-needed stabilization to the industry because it believes "competition is a good thing". The Company intends to incorporate innovation, diversification, technology, and above all - the highest level of service and integrity in the industry today to propel it toward its goals by offering a variety of options such as: Full-service automobile, truck, equipment, boat, motor home and RV auctions; vehicle inspection and marshaling; transportation; wholesale dealer floorplanning; vehicle reconditioning services; online auctions, and more. Moving its headquarters to Nashville, Tennessee, in mid-2007, Acacia Automotive will be more centrally located to better accommodate commerce throughout the United States.
