Ronald Berler Joins XL Insurance as Global Business Development Leader for Energy

EXTON, Pa., March 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- David Duclos, Chief
Operating Officer for XL Capital Ltd's ("XL") global insurance
operations ("XL Insurance"), today announced the appointment of
Ronald Berler to its business development team, reporting to Dennis
Kane, XL Insurance's Chief Operating Officer for the Americas. Mr.
Berler, who will be based in Hartford, Connecticut, will coordinate
the worldwide delivery of XL Insurance's products and services to
the global energy industry. Property, casualty, professional
liability, environmental, power outage, risk management, weather
risk and offshore energy products are among the coverages designed
to address the risk challenges encountered by oil & gas firms,
alternative energy businesses, power generation companies and

Insurers, now GE Insurance Solutions Inc., developing his loss
prevention and underwriting expertise with clients in the oil and
