Contest Seeks Best SOA, Web 2.0, Java, AJAX and Open Source

the Oracle(R) Fusion Middleware Developer Challenge (Developer
Challenge). The contest kicks-off at Oracle Develop, a new program
specifically for developers at Oracle OpenWorld 2006. The Developer
Challenge is co-sponsored by CollabNet, the primary corporate
sponsor of Subversion(TM), which is rapidly becoming the new
standard for version control for distributed development teams. The
Developer Challenge is designed to reward outstanding achievements
in innovation, coding techniques and adaptation of the latest
technologies and standards, among the Java and Service-Oriented
Architecture (SOA) developer community in the following categories:
-- Best SOA-based application or Web service, -- Best Web 2.0- /
AJAX-based user interface or mashup, and -- Best application
demonstrating the combined use of Oracle and Open Source software.

Canada can submit entries in the above categories between Oct. 23,
2006 and Dec. 31, 2006. Submissions will be judged by a panel of

winners/finalists. The finalists will then be invited to Oracle's
corporate headquarters in Redwood Shores, Calif., where they will
present their solutions to Oracle senior executives. The grand-
prize winner will be announced following this meeting. The
grand-prize winner will receive a 37-inch HP High Definition
television. The two runners-up will receive a Slingbox Pro
