Watch This Spicy Trade Level For McCormick & Company Inc

McCormick & Company Inc (MKC:NYSE) is a leading manufacturer of spices, seasoning mixes, condiments and other flavorful products to the food industry. The stock topped out in June 2017 at $106.50 a share. Since that pivot high the stock has traded in a very choppy trading range. Today, MKC stock is trading lower by 0.58 cents to $98.58 a share. The stock looks to have very good daily chart support around the $95.00 area. This support level was where the stock was defended on November 7, 2017. Often, prior support levels will be very good trade levels when retested. Traders should note that the company will report earnings on January 25, 2018 before the opening bell.

This is actually one of those companies you can buy for a lifetime, and not worry about technology replacing your business.

Good dividend, long term.

In these countries, you could characterise McCormick as levying a tiny and unnoticed tax on eating. That’s a clever way of looking at MKC's business model and is consistent with the observation at the top of #msg-74701516 that increasing global affluence leads to higher protein consumption, and most protein foods require the kind of seasoning that MKC specializes in. Regards, Dew

p.s. Note that CLFβ€”a company I ownβ€”is the first-listed item on the underpaid list in http://www.investorschronicle.co.uk/2012/04/26/comment/no-free-lunch/underpaid-and-underowned-KIIkY34YjgjfZOY7O1ladI/article.html;jsessionid=8A22BE3D152257B7BF329E7D1293CD20.mps-apr-01-8109 .

Nice article which mentions Mccormick in the UK's Investors' Chronicle.

It came to their notice because of a screen they did for companies with a great track record who didn't grievously overpay their CEO and other executives:

"There can be few households in this country who do not have a jar or packet of McCormick herbs or spices lurking in their kitchens. It's the number one in its sector in the USA, Canada, the UK, France, and Spain and its market shares are huge - 40 per cent going on 50 per cent. In these countries, you could characterise McCormick as levying a tiny and unnoticed tax on eating. It has paid a dividend every year since 1925 and has increased it for each of the last 25 years. Compared with Apple or Amazon, it's a plodder. But in stamina terms, its an Olympian."
