Aker Solutions ASA said Friday that it has been selected by Chevron Australia Pty. Ltd. to provide subsea compression technology at the Jansz-Io Compression Project, offshore Western Australia, in a deal expected to be worth about 7 billion Norwegian kroner ($811.9 million).

The Norwegian service provider to the energy industry said talks with Chevron to finalize the contract are progressing.
