Allied World's Todd Biondo and Diane Parker to Speak on Panels at Crittenden Insurance Coverage Forum, October 1, 2009

Assurance Company Holdings, Ltd (NYSE:AWH) announced today that
Todd Biondo, AVP, Medical Liability Claims at Darwin, a brand of
Allied World, and Diane Parker, AVP, D&O Claims, at Allied
World U.S., will be participating on separate panels at this year's
Crittenden Insurance Coverage Forum on October 1-2, 2009 in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr. Biondo's panel, on Thursday
afternoon, will focus on Hospital Risk Management and discuss
electronic health records. Some of the topics featured include new
and unique risks concerning electronic charting, current claim
trends and analysis from the hospital, litigator and claims
perspective. Mr. Biondo has over 20 years experience in the
insurance claims arena. Prior to joining Darwin, Mr. Biondo
directed a sector of CNA HealthPro's claim division for 10 years.
Before CNA, Mr. Biondo worked as a senior claims analyst for
Illinois State Medical Insurance Services, Inc. Throughout his
career, Mr. Biondo has exclusively managed claims involving
hospitals, physicians, miscellaneous health-care entities,
long-term care facilities, dentists and other allied health care
professionals. He is a member of the Chartered Property Casualty
Underwriter (CPCU) Society and has published numerous articles on
risk prevention. Mr. Biondo has a B.A. in Business Administration
from Beloit College in Wisconsin. Ms. Parker will participate in a
panel on Thursday morning titled, "Brave New World: Understanding
Side 'A' D&O Exposures in the Current Economy." The panel will
address what Side "A" products are available, how they intersect
with Side "B" and "C" D&O coverage, typical Side "A" claims,
and why Side "A" coverage is becoming more important than ever.
Prior to joining Allied World U.S., Ms. Parker was AVP and Claims
Counsel at Chubb for almost ten years, overseeing the company's
healthcare D&O and E&O claims, as well as high-exposure
commercial D&O, financial D&O and E&O, fiduciary,
employment, and other professional liability claims across the
United States. Previously, she served as Claims Manager at
Executive Risk, where she oversaw D&O, professional liability,
healthcare, and media liability claims, and also was responsible
for the company's non-U.S. claims. Ms. Parker is a member of the
Texas bar, and received her law degree with honors from the
