Thai Baht Jumps To 6-day High Against Dollar

During early Asian deals on Wednesday, the Thai baht jumped to a
6-day high of 33.4850 against the US dollar. On the upside, 33.47
is seen as the next target level for the Thailand currency. At
yesterday's close, the dollar-baht pair was quoted at 33.61.
Thailand will provide August figures for current account,
imports, exports, trade balance and manufacturing production. The
current account is expected to come in at $1.686 billion, while
imports are called lower by 32.9 percent and exports are seen down
by 18.3 percent for a trade surplus of $2.06 billion. Manufacturing
production is expected to fall 6.4 percent on year after losing 7.3
percent in July.
