The Denmark currency that dropped to a 15-day low of 5.3741 against the US dollar in the early European session on Wednesday recouped its losses shortly. The Danish krone drifted higher to 5.3416 against the greenback before leveling off around 6:05 am ET and the pair is presently quoted at 5.3534. The dollar-krone pair was worth 5.3489 at Tuesday's close.

The Danish krone is pegged to the euro since January 1, 1999. Prior to the introduction of the euro, the Danish Krone was pegged to the German Mark. The reference rate for the euro-krone pair is at 7.4603.
