The dollar, which closed yesterday's New York session at 547.75 against the Chilean peso, soared to a 1-month high of 550.85 by about 11:50 am ET Tuesday. The dollar is presently trading at 550.70 versus the Chilean unit. The dollar has been in an upward channel against the peso for the past 8 days.
