The Canadian dollar plunged against major opponents in New York trading on Friday. As of now, the loonie is trading near new multi-month low of 1.8740 against the British pound, new multi-day low of 1.5841 versus the euro, 1.1356 against the US dollar and 84.74 versus the yen.
