directors of Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) voted today to maintain
the quarterly cash dividend of seventy-eight
cents ($0.78) per share of
common stock, payable November 20,
2017, to shareholders of record at the close of business on
October 23, 2017.
Upon payment of this dividend, Caterpillar will have paid higher
dividends to its shareholders for 24 consecutive years and, since
2007, the company's cash dividend has more than doubled.
Caterpillar has paid a cash dividend every year since the company
was formed and has paid a quarterly dividend since 1933.
