CGI leads IT integration of HHS Nationwide Health Information Network for CareSpark team

announced today that, as a part of the CareSpark team, it has been
selected as the lead systems integrator to link CareSpark's
regional health information network into the Health and Human
Services (HHS) Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN). The
NHIN is the foundation for nationwide health information exchange
between consumers, providers, payers, and health product suppliers.
It is part of a national initiative to improve health quality
through the innovative use of secure information technology and
achieve the President's goal for the majority of American's to have
secure personal electronic health records by 2014. CGI will
leverage its broad range of federal and commercial Health IT
offerings in support of the CareSpark Team implementation of the
NHIN infrastructure. "For over two decades, CGI has been applying
