NEWARK, N.J., April 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PSEG was
honored today for diversity and outreach efforts that help promote
career development for people with disabilities. The "Disability
Matters" award was presented today by WorkLifeMatters Magazine and
Springboard Consulting LLC during an awards ceremony in
New York City. PSEG was one of six

needs community. This year's honorees also included companies such
as Verizon, Prudential and PepsiCo.
"We're committed to creating a culture that values and promotes

dependents who have special-needs, with diversity, work life and
human resource initiatives.
PSEG participates in a number of disability-related outreach
programs such as Disability Mentoring Day, when disabled students
and job seekers are invited to explore careers with local
employers.
PSEG also provides employees with customized disability-specific
topics on etiquette and awareness, and additional resources have
been added to the company's diversity intranet site to help
recognize and promote National Disability Employment Awareness
Month. Additionally, PSEG partners with disability
organizations like Hire Ability, a nonprofit organization that
helps the disabled obtain competitive jobs.
"We're very pleased and honored to present PSEG with this
award," said Nadine Vogel, president
