Results of the Extraordinary General Meeting

Plantation & General Investments PLC ("Plantation & General") announces that
all the resolutions proposed at its Extraordinary General Meeting held earlier
today were duly approved.  It is expected that admission of the New Ordinary
Shares to the Official List will become effective and dealings in the New
Ordinary Shares will commence on Thursday, 1st October, 1998.
