Pall Corporation Announces Election of
John H.F. Haskell, Jr. to Board of Directors
 
     EAST HILLS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 8, 1998--Pall Corporation
(NYSE: PLL), a leading supplier of filtration and separations
technology, today announced that John H.F.Haskell, Jr. has been
elected to the Board of Directors. He fills the vacancy created by the
resignation from the Board of the Company's founder, Dr. David B.
Pall. Dr. Pall, 84, will continue his active role as a Technical
Consultant to Pall Corporation.

     Mr. Haskell, 66, has more than 40 years of experience with
international and domestic new business development. He is currently a
Managing Director of SBC Warburg Dillon Read Inc. He oversaw the
development of Dillon Read's European business as well as the creation
of its Tokyo office. He has been employed by the firm and its
predecessors since 1958. Mr. Haskell is also President - Board of
Trustees of the French Institute/Alliance Francaise.

     Eric Krasnoff, Chairman and CEO of Pall Corporation, said, "We
understand Dr. Pall's decision to withdraw from the regular duties of
directorship. At the same time, we are delighted that he will continue
to work closely with our product development team on certain key
projects." 

     Regarding the addition of Mr. Haskell to the Board, Mr. Krasnoff

     Mr. Haskell, a decorated military officer who served as 1st
Lieutenant and Company Commander in the US Army, holds a Bachelor of
Science degree from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point and an MBA
from Harvard University. He currently serves on the boards of The
Equitable Companies Incorporated, The Equitable Life Assurance Society
of the United States, Inc., the Belgian-American Educational
Foundation, the American Society of the French Legion of Honor and the
French Institute/Alliance Francaise.
