                              Further re suspension 
 
Further to the suspension of trading in the Company's shares earlier today, 
Maypole Group plc announces that discussions regarding a possible re-branding 
initiative referred to in the Company's interim results announcement have failed 
to reach a conclusion and that Clydesdale Bank plc, bankers to the Company and 
its subsidiaries (the "Group"), has today demanded repayment of its loans to the 
Group.  Accordingly, the Company is now in discussions with Clydesdale Bank plc 
regarding the appointment of Administrators and expects to be able to announce 
further details later this week.
