  March Networks Announces Preliminary Financial Results for Second Quarter of
               Fiscal Year 2006 that Exceed Company Expectations

OTTAWA, Ontario, November 3, 2005 -- March NetworksTM (TSX:MN; AIM:MNW - all
figures in Canadian dollars and in accordance with Canadian GAAP), a leading
provider of Internet Protocol (IP)-based digital video surveillance solutions,
today announced preliminary financial results for the second quarter of fiscal
year 2006, ended October 31, 2005, that significantly exceeded the Company's
expectations.

Based on preliminary financial data, the Company expects revenue for the quarter
to be approximately $19.8 million, compared with revenue of $11.1 million for
the same period last year, and compared to $14.9 million for the first quarter
of fiscal 2006.

Net earnings for the quarter are expected to be approximately $5 million,
compared to net earnings of $1.5 million for the same period last year, and
compared to $2.8 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2006. Diluted earnings
per share for the quarter are expected to be approximately $0.27.

Financial performance exceeded the Company's expectations primarily as a result
of a significant increase in orders from new and existing customers within the
financial, retail, and transportation verticals. Sequential revenue growth from
the Company's largest customer, a large United States headquartered retailer,
was consistent with the sequential revenue growth of the overall business for
the quarter.

March Networks will report its full second quarter results, and business outlook
for the remainder of the fiscal year 2006, on November 30, 2005 after the close
of Canadian financial markets. The Company will discuss the full results and
business outlook on a conference call and webcast to be held on December 1, 2005
at 8:30 a.m EST (1:30 p.m. BST).
