AIM RELEASE
KIMBERLEY DIAMOND COMPANY NL (the Company) (AIM: KDC)

The Company hereby advises that it has received a notice of initial substantial
holder from MM&E Capital Pty Limited, which acquired, between 20 and 24 July
2007, 35,091,583 ordinary fully paid shares for a total cash consideration of
A$22,661,752.61 representing 8.2 percent of the Company's issued capital.
