Guild strengthens presence at Esports World Cup

Guild Esports PLC (LSE: GILD; OTCQB: GULDF), a global gaming-focused media business, is pleased to announce that the Company's professional Street Fighter player, Chiu "Rainpro" Chin-yat, has qualified for the Esports World Cup (EWC).

Rainpro secured his place in the EWC after finishing 7th in the highly competitive DreamHack Summer 2024 tournament ("DreamHack") in Jönköping, Sweden on Friday, 14 June. At the EWC, he will compete for a share of the $1m Street Fighter prize pool; the Company will receive 35% of any winnings he secures at the event.

Guild will now be represented at the Esports World Cup across three events: Apex Legends, ESL R1 and Street Fighter. All three events count towards the Esports World Cup Club Championship, a cross-game competition at the EWC where the world's best esports organisations will compete for a share of a $20 million team prize pool.
