                Statement re trading and proposed acquisition


In common with many other companies in the e-commerce sector trading has been
disappointing, with sales in Italy, the Company's main market, taking far
longer to achieve than originally planned.

As a result, in order to conserve cash resources, the Company is currently
restructuring its activities by reducing operating costs. In particular the
Company is reducing its personnel and fixed overheads and is concentrating its
activities in the Italian market.

The proposed acquisition of basicfactory s.r.l and the associated fundraising
is taking longer than foreseen, and the Company is currently negotiating an
extension of the deadline for completion of this acquisition to 30th June,
2001.  In addition the Company is also considering other strategic
acquisitions in order to strengthen its position in the Italian market.

A further announcement will be made in due course and the results for the year
ended 31st December, 2000 will be published shortly.
