BMW to Invest More Than EUR100 Million in German Battery Module Production Facility

BMW AG said Wednesday that it will invest more than 100 million
euros ($117.3 million) by 2022 in a plant in Germany for the
production of battery modules as the company prepares for rising
sales of electrified vehicles.
The German car maker said its Leipzig plant would start
manufacturing battery modules in mid-2021.
