Dow Jones News
UniCredit SpA (UCG.MI) said Thursday it has appointed
Jean-Pierre Mustier to head its investment banking business.
Mustier, who formerly ran the corporate and investment banking
division of Societe Generale SA (GLE.FR), was nominated with the
unanimous support of UniCredit's board, the Italian bank said in a
statement.
UniCredit Chairman Dieter Rampl said the appointment completes
the top-management changes at Italy's No. 2 bank by domestic
assets.
Mustier replaces Sergio Ermotti, who is going to UBS AG (UBS).
UniCredit, which has expanded significantly into Germany and
Eastern Europe, also changed chief executives late last year,
replacing Alessandro Profumo with Federico Ghizzoni.
