Gazprom PJSC said Friday that a fire that broke out at its
Urengoy gas plant in Yamal, Russia in the early hours of Thursday
morning has been extinguished, though gas and condensate supplies
to a condensate plant have been disrupted.
The Russian energy company said that there were no casualties
and that measures were carried out to stop production facilities
and extinguish the fire promptly. The company temporarily suspended
the supply of oil and gas condensate mixture to the Surgut
condensate stabilization plant in Sibera as a result.
Gazprom said that it has created a commission to investigate the
incident.
