E Med Future, Inc. (OTCBB:EMDF), manufacturer of NeedleZap(R), announced today that their primary distributor Safe Medical Solutions, LLC, has signed an agreement with Devon Medical Supplies to launch a nationwide co-marketing effort of cost effective safety medical products. E Med developed the NeedleZap(R) portable needle destruction device specifically to help reduce accidental needlestick injuries. When a used hypodermic needle is inserted into the unit, the patented electrode system completely disintegrates the needle in approximately two seconds at 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. NeedleZap(R) reduces the chances of needlestick injuries and is compliant with Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) requirements concerning blood-borne pathogens. "We're excited to be able to offer a product like NeedleZap(R) to our customers," said Suzanne McCormick, Director of Operations for Devon Medical. "The combination of NeedleZap(R) along with our other products will help provide the medical community with a cost effective safety solution. Pooling our marketing efforts will increase visibility of NeedleZap(R) among distributors and healthcare personnel." Devon Medical, a member of the Devon International Group, and Safe Medical Solutions will market NeedleZap(R) in conjunction with Devon Medical's line of FDA-cleared assorted hypodermic and insulin syringes. Both companies also plan to offer Devon Medical's SafeTip(TM) syringe technology, which is currently under development.
