During the past 90 days the company has been heavily involved with preparations and contract agreements with Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) newly selected Individual Assistance Technical Assistance Contracts (IA-TAC) prime contractors, including internal readiness reviews, training and situation exercises. The FEMA has recently as of this past May, awarded four new IA-TAC to four major prime contractors in an effort to support FEMA's implementation of the agency's Individual Assistance, Direct Assistance programs as authorized by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act. The contracts will provide support for small, mid-size, large, and catastrophic disasters or incidents as defined by FEMA. CMARK, utilizing its fleet of disaster relief vehicles and mobile kitchens located in its Mobile, Alabama office along with resources from other teaming partners is positioned and trained as one of the leading disaster response companies in the United States for emergency feeding operations. During Hurricane Katrina, CMARK provided food, facilities for cooking, and served over 100,000 meals in Mississippi and Louisiana. The resources used and personnel employed are still in place. In addition the company has entered into and completed contractual agreements with most of the IA-TAC III prime contractors to minimize response time should CMARK be called on.
