music and gaming industries today announced the appointment of
Rajan ("Raj") Samtani as Senior Vice President of Sales and
Marketing.

Samtani brings more than 16 years of senior business development
and strategic marketing experience in DRM, security, digital
content identification and intellectual property licensing.
Raj holds several patents related to the fields of DRM and
Digital Watermarking. Prior to joining Peer Media, he was a senior
Business Development consultant at Huawei. Prior to that, Raj
was Senior Director, Business Development at Digimarc Corp., where
he was responsible for intellectual property licensing, market
development and building strategic partnerships in the audio/visual
industries. Raj worked closely with Digimarc Licensees and their
customers to promote the adoption of Digital Watermarking
applications in the Digital Media delivery ecosystem. Before
Digimarc, Raj spent 6 years at ContentGuard orchestrating the
adoption of DRM and rights language technologies and standards for
content owners, operators and device manufacturers.
Raj had success in his early career in the computer leasing
industry and switched to the application software business working
with Real Software Systems' entry into rights licensing and
royalties/participations accounting systems. Raj earned his
BA in Economics from UCLA and completed
executive programs in Media and Entertainment at UCLA Andersen
School of Business as well in Entrepreneurship at University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of
Business.
