DISCLOSURE OF INTEREST IN SHARES

The Company received notification today that, on 9 September 2003, Standard Life
Investments sold 1,250,495 Ordinary shares in the Company on behalf of Standard
Life Group, this decreased the total held as a material interest to 5,337,398
Ordinary shares of 50p each in the Company, representing 4.9 per cent of the
total issued share capital.

The shares are registered in the name of Stanlife Nominees Ltd.
