U.S. Bancorp Raises Quarterly Dividend by 13.5%, to 42 Cents

U.S. Bancorp (USB) on Tuesday said its board raised the
quarterly dividend by 13.5%, to 42 cents, from 37 cents.
The new payout, equal to $1.68 a year, represents an annual
yield of about 3.01% based on Monday's closing price of $55.86, up
from about 2.65%.
The Minneapolis bank holding company said the increased dividend
is payable Oct. 15 to shareholders of record Sept. 30.
Shares of U.S. Bancorp were down 1.3%, to $55.14, in Tuesday
morning trading.
