Chevron Reports Electricity, Operational Issues at Richmond, Calif. Refinery

Chevron Corp. (CVX) reported electricity problems and an
operational snag over the weekend at its Richmond refinery in
northern California.
"The refinery incurred a flaring event due to a power dip
resulting in processing unit upsets," the refinery said in a
statement to the California Emergency Management Agency. "The
refinery continues to operate."
It said the emissions happened Saturday morning and included the
release of sulfur dioxide.
The 250,000-barrel-a-day refinery is located just north of
Oakland.
